The atmosphere is great as it combines nature and beining outside all the time with everything else you aspect in such a house. The bedrooms with the bathrooms attached are great. Everything was as described and Amaresiri the care taker is such a nice guy as well. Sometimes we wished that it was easier to communicate as his English is not very well but for all the important things that wasn't a problem at all. If you want to have dinner at the house the cook is awesome and we enjoyed the food a lot. If you want to prepare your own meal the kitchen offers everything you need as well. We made our own breakfast everyday. We would definatly recommend staying here if you wish to get away and relax for a couple of days."”

Like the pictures suggest, this is a beautiful, stylish property whose owner clearly has great taste. As promised, it's adjacent and very, very close to several beautiful beach areas that are secluded and stay pretty uninhabited. We surfed, bodysurfed, snorkelled, and pretty much had the beach to ourselves each day. In many ways this property and experience feels more like a luxury Villa rental than an AirB&B. As I hope to make frequent returns, I probably should't say too much more. This feels like a secret you want to keep to yourself. But if I haven't made this clear already, we loved everything about this place."”

“"Shela House was exactly as described. Although Kurt was not in Sri Lanka whilst we were there he was a good communicator and great host. The house is the perfect place to stay, clean and immaculately looked after by the guard/staff, who are also good people. The beaches are fantastic and the food is as good as you'll get anywhere on the island. The morning are met with the sound or wild animals and the evenings closed out by mesmerizing sunsets. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a great escape and a true Sri Lankan experience.”
